Hi buddies (whoever is still here)

It’s been a while (over than two years actually) since I wrote here. I don’t really know what made me stop writing, nor start writing again - but here I am, write another post.

I guess what actually made me stop, a couple of years ago, was that I decided to focus on the Israeli-Hebew market, and take a break from the international-English one. I built and promoted some websites, for me and for my employers\clients - All of them were in Hebrew, and were intented to the Israeli public.

Now I’m back to work on some English projects, so I guess that what made me write new post after all that time. I’ve learned a lot those years and I hope I’ll have a nice ‘come back’ with my new knowledge.

In brief, the fields those websites were engaged in are: graphology, flowers deliveries, Tzimers, hotels, land assessment, and others.

Now I’m going to promote backgammon again, in addition to the other sites. The targets are more clear and ambitious this time. I intend to triple the amount of the leads, compared to my previous attempt at that field.

So in the next few weeks I’ll be writing here about the progress that has been made with backgammon field, and the SEO process. I already have one quite strategy!

Let’s talk about online poker.

You probably know that all this gambling thing is really hot subject over the internet, and poker is on its top. Of course there are also roulette, crap, blackjack, slots etc… but still, poker seems to be the hottest game.

Since the casinos (such as 888) earn a lot from each player who gambles, they are willing to reward anybody who can refer players to their casino. That makes many SEOs promote casinos and poker softwares - the reward for each player is usually 100-150$ ! Pretty much, uh?

And since I’m a SEO… I’m trying my luck at this subject as well. My site, play money poker, includes many articles about the game and offers to download the 888 poker software.

In the future I’ll let you know how is it going in the online poker field!

At the last post I complained that we haven’t seen a PR update for 6 months. Today I’m writing about the PR update that finally occured on November 1st, couple of weeks ago.

It wasn’t a regular update; the PR algorithim was changed, and the PageRank of many sites and pages was changed dramatically.

MSN, for example, got 8, Yahoo got 9 and YouTube only 3 (instead of 9, 10 and 8 respectively). Of course YouTube got its 8PR back again after a few days, but it was funny and proved the major changes in the algorithm.

So what’s about my sites?

This blog got 4PR instead of 3, my backgammon site it still 4. The pool site got also 4PR (it was new site so it had zero before), as well as the poker one.

That’s it, roughly… The changes was good, in fact, and not dramatically. But as you know - what really matters is SERPs positions, which is still cool.

I have a lot to tell you: about the prospective PR update, Hebrew domain names, poker and loans and mortgages.

Let’s start with the fact that a PR update wasn’t occurred for about 6 months! That’s a lot. The PR of the sites you see isn’t updated at all.  When will an update occur finally? I don’t know, but to tell the truth… The PR isn’t matter so much. What matters is the rankings of the websites!

Now for the next subject - Hebrew domain names.

I don’t know if heard about them, but you can register Hebrew characters dot com/net/org domains. Why would you? At the first look it’s so uncomfortable… you must change the language while typing the address. but it’s surprising how easily you can promote a site with a Hebrew keywords in its domain!

I can tell you I tried this at my רשת מלונות site (and keep testing at משלוחי פרחים and more soon) - I got 15th place for “רשת מלונות” the moment the site was indexed. That’s a hard keyword…

Next one: My money poker and mortgage loan websites. Brand new sites for new niches. I’m just trying my luck… Looks pretty good by now.

Anyway there’s not much new, everything is normal.

Just wanted to tell you about my globalwarming site, it finally got a PR (4) and all the inside pages are 3PR.
Before that, all the pages were 5PR because of the 301 redirect to Or & Tai’s site. That wasn’t a real PR…
Now I know what the site worth
I can finally use it and exchange some links
That’s a really good site with a lot of content.. It deserved to get some PR!!

I wanted to tell you today about Play89 and online pool - the next madness, by Play65!

That’s very simple: If Play65 is a backgammon game, then now it has a little borther - Play89, Pool \ billiards \ snooker game. Of course it has the same great features: 3D engine etc, and playing with people from all over the world!

My website for this niche is up for a one month, and there is a great response of visitors. Although there is almost no content, but I’m working about that

Yeah, it really happened finally! The Globalwarming Awareness2007 is over, the winners were announced, and this world championship ended.

About the winners? Well, I’m not among them. The winners are some black hats and cheaters, but not all of them. It was very nice contest, but it was foul…

Buy hey, I didn’t lose at all! Me, Or and Tai (my partners to this contest) were 9th place in this world championship. We, contrary to the first places, didn’t buy any PR7-8 links…

More news:

• A new design for my online backgammon website - Now I hope to bring even more players than I used to bring!
• I uploaded 2 new stupid sites: KwaKwa.net (Kwa-Kwa is a cootie catcher in Hebrew), and smShow.net which supplies SMS services to private-websites-owners. I don’t really belive at this SMS shit, but I did uploaded those sites because one of them were ready (I built it before 2 years!) and the other I did in a few days in Pesach holiday (results of a lot of free time!).
• I removed the redirection at GlobalWarmingAwareness2007-Blog.net , since the contest ended as well as my cooperating with Or & Tai. The site is back, and got 5PR - main pages and sub ones as well. Nice present! When I’m taking a look now, I can’t not to see how many content there are! Nice work, Ofir!
• My next project is on the air now, and I’m collecting content for it. Soon you will see!

Many people were expecting to this, and it finally happened - A PR update. I, in contrast with this, don’t get so excited. What’s matter for me is positions and no PR.

Anyway - The blog got 3PR, that’s nice.

Furthermore, the loathsome Globalwarming Awareness2007 is coming to its end - A day was left (plus some hours). Me, Or and Tai were cooperating this contest, as I already told you, and we’re moving between the 3rd to the 5th place in Google. Seems like we’re not going to win, there are to many cheaters and black hats…

Concerning about the stupid Hen and Stag Night seocontest contest (that I’m not taking part in, but my friend, Tal Garty, is) - Tal still trying his luck there!

And now, maybe the most interesting thing - Shopautodotca Seocontest. I took 8th place in MSN-Live effortlessly, just from writing the first post about it. Yesterday I built a Shopautodotca Seocontest mini-site, which will represent me in this contest, as well as this blog main page and its shopautodotca seocontest category. We will see how things will go on…

Maybe it sounds kind of scary thing, but it’s completely not. It’s just a list. List of some of my sites, that I decided to put there. Why? because they got no positive PR (don’t get me wrong - neither PR0 punishment), and they didn’t got so many links.

But still, I invested time about them, write content etc. So I can’t just throw them away! What I’ll do is commemorating them - link them here, so people will still be able to see them, and the search engines will don’t forget them…

Furthermore, I’ll write about each site there, the reason it’s “dead”, and what was its use\aim.
